Exactly what is free and what is paid

There is one paid item on this site. Everything else is free to read and use, with no time limit and no drip-feed.

We would rather you read the free material first and decide afterwards. That is the whole reason the notes are not gated.

What the $29 question bank actually includes

One payment of $29 USD unlocks the CIPP/E bank permanently. Specifically:

• 1,248 questions written to the CIPP/E body of knowledge, separate from the 20 free ones on the practice page.
• Worked explanations on every question, so a wrong answer tells you why it was wrong rather than just marking it red.
• Progress tracking across domains, so you can see what you have covered and what you keep getting wrong.
• Lifetime access to the CIPP/E bank. No renewal, no expiry date on your account, no recurring charge.
• One account across all three sites. The same login works for the CIPP/E, CIPP/US and AIGP sites, so if you sit another of them later you are not creating a second account.

Be clear on one limit: each question bank is bought separately. Paying $29 for CIPP/E does not unlock the CIPP/US or AIGP banks. The shared account saves you a signup, not a payment.

These are original questions written for revision. They are not real exam questions, they do not reproduce IAPP material, and nobody who sells you questions can promise you a pass.

How this compares in cost with other ways to prepare

These are not like-for-like products, so read this as a budget picture rather than a head-to-head. A question bank is not a taught course, and a taught course is not a question bank.

One piece of arithmetic worth doing before you join IAPP purely to save money on a course: membership is USD 295 a year and takes self-paced CIPP/E training from USD 1,195 to USD 995, a saving of USD 200. On training alone, membership does not pay for itself. It may still be worth it for other reasons, which are yours to weigh.

Refunds, consumer rights and who takes your money

This site is operated by THESMIOS LTD, company number 17150638, registered in England and Wales. The question bank is sold through Onelink as merchant of record, so Onelink is the seller shown on your receipt and card statement, and refund requests are handled through them.

Because the question bank is digital content you get access to immediately, the checkout asks you to consent to that immediate supply and to acknowledge that you lose the standard 14-day cancellation right for distance purchases once access begins. That acknowledgement is a deliberate, visible step at checkout, not buried in a footer.

Your statutory rights are unaffected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content supplied to UK consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If what you receive does not match what this page describes, or it does not work, you are entitled to a remedy, and you should contact us and Onelink. Buyers outside the UK may have equivalent rights under their own local law.

Two things we deliberately do not do: there is no countdown timer, and there is no strike-through pricing. The price is $29 for everyone, all the time. If you feel pressured into buying something, that pressure did not come from this site.

Who should not buy the question bank

Honest disqualifiers, because a refund request is worse for both of us than a sale that never happened:

• You have not read the free notes yet. Start with the readiness check and the study guide. If the free material plus 20 practice questions already gets you where you need to be, keep your $29.
• Your employer will fund official IAPP training. Take the funded course. Official self-paced CIPP/E training is listed at USD 1,195 (USD 995 for members), and if someone else is paying, the cost argument for self-study disappears.
• You need CPE credits. This site cannot award them. Official IAPP training is the usual route for that; check iapp.org for what each course carries.
• You want an instructor, marking or a study cohort. This is self-service revision material with no tutor attached.
• You are sitting CIPP/US or AIGP right now, not CIPP/E. Those are separate banks on their own sites and are bought separately.
• You want a guaranteed pass. No study product can honestly offer that, and this one does not.
• You learn best from video or classroom teaching. Drilling questions works well for some people and poorly for others. You know which you are.
