Completing the training is a step, not the finish line. To convert it into a pass, layer on the textbook, the blueprint, practice questions and spaced review - then book the exam while the material is fresh.
The IAPP is explicit: the online training "can serve as a step toward earning your CIPP/E certification, but additional preparation is essential." Use the official six-step checklist (30+ hours, review the BoK, read the textbook, consult the tips, watch the How-to-Prepare module, do the review questions) and pair it with this guide's spaced Review mode.
Short daily Review sessions beat marathon weekends. Aim to clear the 'due' queue every day and re-do anything you missed. Book the exam for a date that lets you finish two or three full passes through the question bank.
